Children counselling

Children counselling focuses on the child, but on its family as well. The aim of children counselling is helping the child to fit into the family context and to successfully adjust to a wider social context and a group of peers. The intention is to enable the child and its family to deal with stressful situations more efficiently as well as to learn efficient ways to solve them child's problems both individually and within the family system.

In counselling we use projection techniques, art therapy, music therapy, discussion therapy, play therapy, cognitive-behavioural methods, psychological testing.

Family counselling

Family counselling includes working with the whole family. It can be either as full-time work with the whole family or as addition to individual counselling or children counselling. The aim of family counselling is improvement of relationships within the family, recognizing dominant problems within the family system and how to overcome them, learning the skills of living in the family and building an efficient family system that can resist the tests of time, environment and needs of individual members of the family.
In family counselling we use system therapy and cognitive-behavioural methods.

Marital and partner counselling

Our counselling department offers also marital counselling and counselling for partners. In order to implement such counselling it is necessary that both partners be present in counselling sessions. The aim of counselling is to face the actual marital problems and to overcome them, to learn new skills of living in a marriage or partner community, working on anger management, techniques of solving conflicts, communication skills and developing a sense for living together (sharing life).
In marital and partner counselling we use general techniques of marital and partner counselling which include cognitive-behavioural methods. Parents’ education

Education of parents can be a part of children counselling or a part of family therapy, but it can also be an independent counselling service. The aim of parents’ education is to teach parents about the communication skills of parents and children, about the development phases and family life cycles of children and parents, and to learn about the educational aspects of parental care.In parents education we apply work principles of schools for parents and  schools of parental efficiency.

Individual counselling

Our counselling department gives services of individual counselling. People who have to deal with specific personal and life problems can also ask for professional help. The aim of individual counselling is to deal with individual stressful situations more efficiently, to get over the personal problems, to fit into the social context with maximum function, discussing and dealing with stressful and traumatic life situations. Counselling is adjusted to the individual problems and personal interests of clients. In individual counselling we use techniques of  rational emotional behavioural therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, existential therapy, art therapy, projection techniques,
Gestalt-methods, neuroliguistic programming, client-oriented therapy.

Group support

We also offer the possibility of group therapy. The aim of group therapy is sharing experiences and self-support among individuals who have the same problems and who can, by taking part in a group therapy, expand their knowledge about their problem. They can share their experience with people who are going through the same life situations and, thanks to the self-supporting aspect of group work, they can get emotional support needed to deal with and efficiently solve specific problems. In the group support work we use group therapy.
